BBC Hardtalk in 2015 to Times Radio in 2024
It is hard to believe it is 9 years since Exit Founder, Dr Philip Nitschke appeared on Hardtalk on the BBC where he argued that a good death should be a universal human right.
Fast forward to the present and the UK is debating the antithesis of this argument: that a good death should be the preserve of those who are terminally ill with < 6 months to live.
Indeed, Philip made similar points in his Times Radio interview on 24 November 2024.
The Podcast of Philip’s (ahead of his time) interview from 29 April 2015 is available HERE

It is interesting to look back on where this argument came from and how the belief directs everything that Exit advocates for today.
Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose …
